It’s about halfway through the 2016 football season, and two teams from Richland County are included in the current OSHAA computer football rankings. On October 30, the final ranking will be released, at which time the top eight teams will advance to the playoffs.
In Division II Region 7, Mansfield Senior is currently ranked 10th. The Tygers are currently 3-2, and later this week host Ashland.
In Division III Region 10, Lexington is ranked 11th. The Minutemen are also 3-2 and play Mansfield Madison at home this Friday.
The highest ranked area team is Shelby, currently in 3rd place in Division IV, Region 15. The Whippets are 4-1 and this Friday, travel to rival Willard.
