There are many perks of living in north central Ohio, including access to cultural events and attractions within easy driving distance.

That said, there are opportunities to experience the arts closer to home through outstanding local performances and exhibitions.

One such opportunity arrives on August 20 at 8 PM, when Mid-Ohio Civic Opera shares a one-time only outdoor concert at the Mansfield Art Center Pavilion. Enjoy a program of opera arias, duets, trios, and more, all composed by the acknowledged master of Italian opera, Giuseppe Verdi.

Performers will include professional opera singers local favorites Megan Potter and  Andrew Potter, as well as Daniel Juárez, from Connecticut. Heidi Kirschenheiter Vega will also be singing for the quartets, and Sharon Grimes will accompany on piano.

There is no charge for this family friendly concert which is open to all. Donations will be accepted during intermission and after the concert.
