When legendary country music star Joe Diffie plays the Renaissance Theatre this Saturday, he will follow an opening act that has some very strong local roots.

Jessica Hannan and her band have taken the state by storm over the last few years and is considered by many to be Ohio’s hottest country/rock group.

Originally from Jeromesville, Hannan toured the state heavily from age 13 to 17, gaining much notoriety in the process. Her first recording contract was made when she was only 13 when a record company recognized her strong, driving vocal style.

Jessica’s career highlights include:

  • Won a record contract with Sonic Records by beating out 10,000 national contestants in 2000.
  • Recorded compilation CD for Sonic Records, containing Jessica’s song “Here Again”
  • Recorded/Release first full length CD “First Flight” in 2002
  • Began touring nationally with her first band in 2002
  • Recorded 2 more Demo Cd’s
  • Has opened for for major artists, Trick Pony, Jeff Carson, Cassadee Pope, Matt Stillwell, Joe Diffie and more..
  • Recorded/Released E.P. “Drive” in 2016
  • Video Shoot and release of “Girls Night Out” Video.
  • Recorded/Released E.P. “Broken” in 2018

The band spends much of its current time in Nashville where they record for another label, and also on the road. The band’s 2019 tour takes them across the northern part of Ohio, including local stops in Richland County.
