The Richland County Engineer’s Office has posted its list of anticipated projects for the 2021-2022 construction season, as well as a number of road and bridge projects set for the 2022-2024 timeframe.
Despite the pandemic, 2020 was a busy year County Engineer Adam Gove and his team on North Mulberry Street in Mansfield.
Completed items include bridges on Wells Road, Pittenger Road, Snodgrass Road, andShelby Ganges Road; chip sealing of London East, London West, Goon, Bangorville, Horning, Darlington East, Bellville North, Town Line, and Free Roads; and paving of Millsboro East and Lexington-Ontario Roads.
Set for completion this year are the following:
- Mock Road Bridge CR32 (Bid opened January 21; see Richland Source story link below)
- Snake Road Bridge TR 224 (Currently bidding; bids to be opened on February 11)
- Fleming Falls Road Bridge TR 270 (Advertisement on January 26) – pipe supply/install only
- Plymouth Springmill Road Bridge TR 270 (Advertisement on January 26) – pipe supply/install only
- Ganges Five Points Road Bridge CR207
- Reynolds Road Bridge TR226
- Guardrail Project FY 2021 – various roads (Awarded, expected start spring 2021)
- Chip seal roads (various)
- Paving roads – Bellville Johnsville (part), Lexington – Ontario, Noble (part), Free (part), Washington North (part)
- Other road maintenance – Plymouth Springmill
