The Ohio Department of Transportation is proposing to replace three culverts along U.S. Route 42 and State Route 545, in Richland County.  The culvert locations are:

  • US 42, north of Addeline Dr.
  • US 42, north of Cedarwood Dr.
  • SR 545, north Annfield Dr.

Work will require a 30 day detour at each culvert location. For the culverts on US 42, the detour for northbound motorists will be US 42 to SR 314, north on SR 314 to SR 97, east on SR 97 to US 42 and reverse for southbound motorists. 

For the culvert on SR 545, the detour for westbound motorists will be SR 545 to SR 96, west on SR 96 to SR 13, south on SR 13 to SR 545 and reverse for eastbound motorists. 

ODOT, emergency services, and other public services will coordinate throughout construction.

Construction is anticipated to begin April 2024 and be completed in November 2024.
