This week’s road construction update from District 3 of the Ohio Department of Transportation features a handful of new projects in Ashland, Crawford, Huron, and Richland County. This week’s project list includes the following:

ASHLAND COUNTY

State Route 95

SR 95, just east of SR 39 to the Wayne County line, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for pavement repairs. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The project is expected to be completed October 2017.

US Route 30 ***UPDATE***

US 30, just west of SR 60 to the Wayne County line at CR 15, will have daily lane closures for pavement repairs as part of resurfacing project. The left lanes are closed as crews continue work on surface paving, intersections, ramps, and berming.  Please use caution when navigating through work zones. The project is expected to be complete by August 2017. All lanes will be open from 7/1-7/4 for the holiday traffic.

 

CRAWFORD COUNTY

State Route 19 ***UPDATE***

SR 19, from the Seneca County line to SR 19 and on SR 19 to SR 100, will be closed Wednesday, July 5 for a 14 day closure to perform bridge maintenance and repairs. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 19 to SR 100, west on SR 100 to SR 103, east on SR 103 to SR 19, and reverse for southbound motorists. Traffic may be maintained with flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete in September 2017.

State Route 19 ***NEW***

SR 19, between SR 100 and Orr Rd., will close Wednesday, July 5 for bridge maintenance. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 19 to SR 100, west on SR 100, continue northwest on SR 100 to SR 103, east on SR 103 to SR 19, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen Wednesday, July 19.

State Route 96

SR 96, from SR 602 to the Richland County line, will have single lane closures for a chip seal project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete in October 2017.

State Route 39

SR 39, from Tiro Rd. to the Richland Co. line, will have potential lane closures as needed for a chip seal project. Traffic will be maintained by periodic flagging operations. The project is expected to be complete in June 2017.

State Route 103 ***UPDATE***

SR 103, from SR 4 to the Huron Co. line, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. There will be no parking in New Washington on SR 103 during the milling and paving operations. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The project is expected to be completed October 2017

State Route 602 ***UPDATE***

SR 602, just south of New Washington to the SR 103 junction, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. There will be no parking in New Washington on SR 103 during the milling and paving operations. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The project is expected to be completed October 2017.

 

HURON COUNTY

State Route 113 ***UPDATE***

SR 113, from US 20 to US 250 and SR 547 just west of the railroad tracks to US 20 in Monroeville, is reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing and bridge repair project. The projects resurfacing portion on SR 547, in the Village of Monroeville, will begin Wednesday, July 5th. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The project is expected to be complete September 2017.

US 20 ***NEW***

US 20, from the Sandusky County line to the City of Bellevue, will have possible intermittent lane restrictions as crews begin installing signs for upcoming an upcoming resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. The project is expected to be completed October 2017.

 

RICHLAND COUNTY

State Route 97

SR 97, at its interchange with Interstate 71, will have two narrowed lanes of traffic in each direction. Crews are working on the berm, adjusting castings, and completing corrective work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Please use caution while navigating through work zones. The project is expected to be complete July 2017.

US Route 30

US 30 westbound, just outside of the city of Mansfield on the 5th Ave. off ramp, is closed for a culvert replacement. This is an emergency project that began Tuesday, June 13 when a storm released inches of rain over a very short period of time. Crews will begin repairing the collapsed pipe and pavement washout. The project is expected to be completed July 2017.

State Route 546

SR 546, from the Knox County line to the City of Lexington, will have intermittent lane closures as part of a chip and seal resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers as needed. The project is expected to be complete by October 2017.
