Mansfield’s local chapter of the Girl Scouts, Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland, is inviting families to a vibrant Spring Expo, “Spring into Girl Scouts,” which promises an evening filled with fun activities, crafts, and an opportunity to learn more about what it means to be a part of this dynamic organization. The event is scheduled for 6:00 PM on April 18, at Malabar Intermediate School, 205 W. Cook Rd..
Engaging Activities for All Ages
The Expo will be held in the school’s cafeteria, transforming it into a hub of creativity and enjoyment suitable for all ages. Participants will have the chance to engage in a variety of hands-on activities, each designed to foster creativity and build skills:
- Build and Take Bird Feeders: Using bird seeds and wow butter, attendees can create their own bird feeders, perfect for starting a small wildlife observation at home.
- Craft Friendship Bracelets: A station for making friendship bracelets allows participants to craft a symbol of connection and camaraderie.
- Try Soft Archery: For the adventurous spirits, a soft archery setup will provide a safe environment to test and hone archery skills.
- Pose in the Photo Booth: Equipped with an array of props from quirky to imaginative, the photo booth is ready to capture the fun moments of the night.
- Create Paperclip Charms: Ideal for readers and journal enthusiasts, this station lets you design custom paperclip charms.
- Music to Enhance the Atmosphere: Live music will keep the energy upbeat throughout the evening.
- DIY Pencil Crafts: Younger guests can personalize pencils with creative toppers, making school supplies fun and unique.
