Area crafters take note – particularly those who enjoy nature and our feathered friends.

The Ohio Bird Sanctuary near Clearfork Reservoir will be hosing four Conservation Arts & Craftts Workshops this year in their Education Center. These workshops will take place on the second Tuesday of January, April, July, and October, so you are certain to be able to hit at least one.

The series includes an arts and crafts project with a guest speaker related to that particular theme. The workshops provide a family-friendly experience in the bucolic surroundings of one of the area’s premier nature centers.

The first workshop, For the Birds!, takes place on Tuesday January 10.  You will be making a gourd birdhouse and creating a nesting ball from a suet cage. Gail Laux, Executive Director at the Ohio Bird Sanctuary, is the guest speaker.  Parking is limited so please carpool, if possible.

Richland SWCD will provide the materials and tools needed to make the projects. Reservations are requested and the workshop costs $12.00 per person.

Each workshop will take place from 6 to 8 PM at the Ohio Bird Sanctuary, located at 3774 Orweiler Road.

Please visit https://richlandswcd.net/get-involved/calendar or call 419-747-8685 for more information and to register for the workshops.
