There continue to be strong indications that even before the expected arrival of yet another variant, that COVID-19’s foothold in Richland County is getting stronger.
Numbers were released Friday by Richland Public Health that corroborates that view.
Among the numbers, which can be seen below for local, state, and national perspectives, the following are striking:
- Richland County has experienced an increase of 582 COVID cases in the last seven days.
- Over 1 in 20 people who have been hospitalized locally since the pandemic began is currently there.
- With 40,117 new cases in the last seven days for the state of Ohio as a whole, over 14% of that amount are in Richland County.
