In a vibrant move to bolster the local art scene, the Mansfield Arts and Culture Sector has initiated a novel monthly networking event, aptly named ARTTALK. This event aims to be a melting pot for artists of varying ages, mediums, and skill levels, offering a unique platform for creative minds to converge, exchange ideas, and foster a sense of community.

A Nomadic Venue for Creative Exchange

ARTTALK distinguishes itself by its roaming nature, with the venue changing each month. This dynamic approach not only adds an element of excitement but also highlights different artistic spaces within Mansfield. For February, the event is set to take place in the community art studio inside MOSAIC church, located at 296 Park Ave West. This choice of location underscores the event’s commitment to inclusivity and community involvement.

When and How to Join the Artistic Confluence

Scheduled for the first Wednesday of every month, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, ARTTALK provides a regular, yet flexible, opportunity for artists to engage. The upcoming session on Wednesday, February 7th, will be hosted in the same welcoming space at MOSAIC church. This recurring event offers a structured yet informal setting, ideal for artists seeking inspiration, collaboration, or simply a sense of belonging in the local arts community.

The Vision Behind ARTTALK

Spearheaded by the Mansfield Arts and Culture Sector, ARTTALK is more than just a gathering—it’s a strategic initiative to empower artists. By establishing a robust network and fostering diverse artistic expressions, the event seeks to lay a solid foundation for a thriving art scene in Mansfield and Richland County. The underlying goal is to create a vibrant, interconnected community where art and culture flourish, driven by the talents and passions of local artists.
