Thanksgiving is a time for family, food, and gratitude. But let’s be honest, it can also be a time for stress and endless hours in the kitchen. This year, why not switch things up a bit? Mohican State Park, along with other Ohio State Parks, is offering a hassle-free Thanksgiving experience that combines the comfort of a home-cooked meal with the beauty of nature.

The Thanksgiving Spread

Imagine sitting down to a table laden with all your Thanksgiving favorites: mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and, of course, turkey. The best part? No need to worry about the dishes. The state park lodges are taking care of everything, allowing you to focus on what really matters—spending quality time with loved ones. The Thanksgiving buffet at Mohican State Park Lodge will be available from noon to 4 p.m., surrounded by the scenic views of Pleasant Hill Lake.

Make your reservations by calling (419) 938-6815 ext. 320. For more options at state park lodges, visit the Great Ohio Lodges webpage.

Beyond the Feast

Thanksgiving is just the beginning. After your sumptuous meal, you can explore the various activities that Ohio State Parks have to offer throughout the holiday weekend. Whether it’s hiking, bird-watching, or simply enjoying the great outdoors, there’s something for everyone. Check out the ODNR events calendar to find out what’s happening at the Ohio State Parks during the holiday season.
