Two events during the first week of December are certain to have folks in the southern half of Richland County feeling in the holiday spirit.

On Thursday, December 5 at 7 PM, the annual Yule Log Lighting will take place near the Bellville Bandstand downtown. The community Christmas Tree will also be lit and word has it that a certain jolly man in a red suit will be on hand.

Then, join in the fun of the holiday season at Bellville’s Annual “Tina’s Christmas Parade” on December 7 at 11:00 AM.

The fun continues at the Township Building (the old firehouse) after the parade. Free carriage rides will be available.

There will be food such as hot dogs and cookies, and warm drinks like cocoa and cider. Children’s crafts are also planned. Santa will be making an appearance as well.
