What better way to celebrate the wonders of January than with a winter themed festival? You’re in luck this weekend, as nearby Loudonville celebrates the 2018 Mohican Winter Fest this Saturday and Sunday.

Enjoy watching Award-winning Aaron Costic and his crew from Elegant Ice Creations as they make some truly inspired creations from ice. Stroll along Main Street to see over 25 elegant sculptures.

Also on hand will be additional ice carving around the Central Park fountain, fire spinning, The David Sheaffer Memorial Train Expo, a vintage and newer snowmobile show, the American Legion Riders sponsored Poker Walk, Appalachian Acoustic Music Weekend at Mohican Lodge, Snowball Dance with Rockin’ Al at the American Legion, Wine tasting at Ugly Bunny Winery, Cleo Redd Fisher Museum Tours, Workman Cabin Tours, and JT Hiller Live at The Copper Mug Bar & Grille.

At the same time, Saturday brings the arrival of wonderful African penguins from the Newport Aquarium at the Loudonville Library. There will be three showings, from 11-12, 1-2, and 3-4. Space is limited and tickets are required – contact the Library for details.
