Mansfield will shortly be the site for yet another Hollywood film.

“Escape Plan 3,” starring Sylvester Stallone, will begin filming this fall in Richland County. Previous installments of the series have included actors Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

With a screenplay by Miles Chapman, the film will be directed by John Herzfeld, who has won the Directors Guild of America Award for the HBO film “Don King: only in America.” Herzfeld has written for films starring Robert De Niro, Ed Burns, Kelsey Grammer, and directed actress Charlize Thereon’s film debut.

Richland Source is reporting this evening that filming will take place primarily at the Ohio State Reformatory.

This past weekend, an Open Casting Call was issued by Angela Boehm Casting. According to the announcement, the company is seeking “actors of Eastern European descent that are available starting September 18th through October 13th
