One of the area’s largest Civil War and military themed shows is taking place soon.

The highly anticipated Annual Ohio Civil War Show is set to take place on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the Richland County Fairgrounds, located at 750 North Home Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44906. This exciting event will feature collectibles, demonstrations, living history presentations, and much more.

Show admission is priced at $7, with free entry for children under 12 years old. The venue also offers free parking for all attendees. The event will span across seven buildings and boasts 750 tables filled with military items, relics, and memorabilia available for buying, selling, or trading.

The Ohio Civil War Show aims to provide an interactive and educational experience, with dealers and living history encampments ready to answer questions and share unique stories. Attendees can expect an array of engaging displays and demonstrations, such as:

  • Educational exhibits on various historical topics
  • Civil War cannon firing demonstrations
  • Civil War, WWI, and WWII living history encampments
  • Civil War period music performances
  • A rendition of the Gettysburg Address by a President Abraham Lincoln impersonator
  • Revolutionary War and Civil War infantry demonstrations
  • WWII 801st Medical Evacuation Squadron educational program
  • Showcases featuring the 36th US Infantry Division and the 100th Jäger German Unit
  • WWII small arms demonstration
  • Camp Chase Fife and Drum and the 73rd OVI Regiment Band
