On Thursday, Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development was on hand to help the owners of The Voegele Historic Lofts in a ribbon curing for their renewed space.

The Lofts is a beautifully restored building that was built in 1897 and was home to several of the Voegele Brothers’ businesses. Today, it stands as a stunning testament to Mansfield’s rich history and comprises 25 two- and three-bedroom apartments, two cozy Airbnbs, and a shared office space.

Constructed in 1904 by local businessman and philanthropist William H. Voegele, the Voegele Building was originally designed to serve as a mixed-use space for both commercial and residential purposes. Over the years, it has housed a variety of businesses, including a pharmacy, a tailor, and a bakery. The building has also been home to numerous families and individuals, making it an integral part of Mansfield’s social and economic fabric.

The Voegele Building boasts a Beaux-Arts architectural style, which was popular in the United States during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The design features elegant and intricate details such as ornamental cornices, arched windows, and a stunning façade of red brick and carved limestone.

During the ceremony, the new Airbnb addition was showcased, which is perfect for travelers looking for a unique and historic stay in the heart of the city. We’re thrilled to share this special place with everyone and invite you all to come and experience the beauty and charm of The Voegele Historic Lofts.
