Mansfield City Schools has partnered with Children’s Hunger Alliance to distribute weekend meals at Mansfield Senior High Each Friday this summer.

The Alliance will distribute weekend meal bags, in which one meal kit includes shelf-stable food items for breakfast and lunch for the weekend. Meals are available to all Mansfield City Schools students.

One weekend meal kit per child will be distributed every Friday from June 24 through August 12 (excluding July 1) from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM. Pick-up will be outside of the front doors of Mansfield Senior High School. While picking up, you are asked to drive or walk up to the front of the High School.

More than 700,000 children across Ohio live in food-insecure households. That means 1 in 4 kids are unsure of where their next meal is coming from.

According to the Alliance, summer nutrition programs serve as a bridge to fill the summer meal gap that so many children face each year, and also helps attract more children and teens to the summer enrichment programming needed to reduce summer learning loss.
