The word “hero” is one which can be all-too casually thrown about. In the case of Mansfielder Scott Banks, however, his last few moments of life clearly demonstrated heroic action.

According to the news site of television station WTAP, late last week Banks stopped to assist occupants of a truck which had slide off of Interstate I77 near Parkersburg, West Virginia. A few moments later, Banks was hit when another vehicle slid as well.

Exact details are being sorted out by local law enforcement. The WTAP story can be accessed here.
