This spring, one Richland County community has given itself an opportunity for a new, spruced up impression for those seeking information online about what it has to offer.

The City of Ontario has dispensed with its former cramped, difficult to navigate website and replaced it with something much more up to date.

The new site’s home page contains a rotating gallery of bright, colorful images. Easy to read tabs provide access to learn about local government, businesses, events, and more.

Online bill pay is also available for income tax, water/sewer, and court charges. The site also provides access to city, schools, and event calendars, as well as the latest COVID-19 information from the City.

The WordPress content management system, on which the new site is built, allows for flexibility and creativity. One recently added feature is the “Virtual Recreation Department,” which provides citizens with ideas for both indoor and outdoor activities which can be enjoyed during the current public health emergency. That page can be found here.

The website’s online address has not changed, and can still be found at: ontarioohio.org.

Send us your news — of an announcement, event,
club news, fundraiser – whatever! It’s easy to do online.
