On Wednesday, November 6 the METRICH Enforcement Unit with assistance from the U.S. Marshal’s Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF), the Ohio State Highway Patrol Special Response Team (OSP-SRT), the Mansfield Division of Police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted a large scale drug sweep.

METRICH Commander Lt. Jason Bammann stated that METRICH detectives targeted 28 suspects during this sweep and conducted a total of 2 search warrants. The 28 suspects were indicted by the Richland County Grand Jury on 56 counts of drug trafficking and other related charges.

The search warrants were served at 354 ½ Wayne St and 10 Gray Ct. in the city of Mansfield. As a result, authorities seized 21 grams of crystal methamphetamine, powder cocaine, assorted prescription pills, and over $265.00 in U.S. currency.

The NOVFTF apprehended 23 of the 28 suspects. During these apprehensions, four unrelated suspects were arrested for other warrants and or charges. The remaining five suspects still wanted by the Task Force are Jason Johnson, Gary Richardson, Devontre Brent, Sonja Adams, and Charity Griffith.
