The Mansfield Richland County Public Library regularly offers technology-oritented classes and workshops for patrons. Below are events taking place between now and the end of October. Friday events are open for “drop ins,” while the others require pre-registration (call the Computer Lab at 419.521.3146).

Word®-the Basics — Thursday October 20 at 5:30 PM — Learn how to navigate, format text, save, and retrieve a file. Students will learn to use the Cut, Copy and Paste commands to move text, and how to use the Help feature.

Getting Started with E-Mail — Friday October 21 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NOON — Create an email account.  Learn how to send and read messages.  Find out how email is used to keep in touch with family, register for social media and apply for jobs. No Sign up needed (Walk-in)

Photo Basics — Tuesday October 25 at 5:30 PM — Learn great composition tips for photography and cropping. Bring your digital camera or smartphone.

Facebook Fridays — Friday October 28 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NOON — Got questions about Facebook?  Drop in and we’ll help you out, whether you’re a regular user or just getting started.  Learn about privacy settings, messaging, photo albums and much more.
