Ohio State Reformatory, made famous by the 1994 movie "The Shawshank Redemption". Starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman, Shawshank is one of the greatest movies ever made, and in my top 10 personal favourites. I toured this prison in the summer of 2015 with Wendy and the girls. We walked in the footsteps of Andy Dufresne and Ellis "Red" Redding. I have watched the movie more times than I can count. I'll never get tired of it. "I guess it comes down to a simple choice. Get busy living or get busy dying." ~ Andy Dufresne Partial remains of the great oak tree seen near the end of the movie lies in the front garden at OSF. This was the part of the tree that came down after a storm in 2011. Sadly, a storm in 2016 took the rest of the tree. I was lucky to have seen the tree standing before it was removed. "I believe in two things: discipline and the Bible. Here you'll receive both. Put your trust in the Lord; your ass belongs to me. Welcome to Shawshank." ~ Warden Norton #ShawshankRedemption #Ohio #FromAnywhere #MansfieldOhio #MansfieldReformatory #OhioStateReformatory #ShawshankPrison
