As in years past, 1812Blockhouse will be sharing regular updates over the coming weeks in terms of events and attractions located within an easy driving distance of Richland County.

If you are heading out on the road, however, much of Ohio is within an easy drive. Tourism season typically begins with Tourism Day, which this year takes place on May 10. It’s a great place to begin planning for a summer of fun.
With the much-anticipated peak travel season fast approaching, the Ohio Department of Development and TourismOhio is eager to ensure that Ohio residents are well-equipped with the necessary information for planning their upcoming in-state escapades. In an effort to facilitate this, over 120 tourism partners from within Ohio will gather at the west plaza of the Ohio Statehouse to participate in Ohio Tourism Day.
This annual, complimentary event will take place from 11 AM to 2 PM and features a diverse array of entertainment, engaging interactive experiences, and information booths hosted by Ohio’s tourism industry leaders. To get a taste of what to expect, watch the video below.
