The beginning of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course’s 2017 spectator event season is around the corner.
The historic race course’s four major professional events and dates are as follows, with descriptions from the Mid-Ohio website:
- June 23-25: Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) Vintage Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio — “Cars from 11 SVRA racing groups bearing iconic names like Lola, Ferrari, Mustang, Triumph Spitfire, Trans-Ams and Aston Martin will bring their special brand of excitement and exhilaration to Mid-Ohio for a weekend rich in motorsports – past, present and future.”
- July 7-9: AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days — “Tens of thousands of two-wheel fans will have the opportunity to view rare vintage bikes, attend a gigantic swap meet and sale, and take in exciting vintage racing events both on-road and off.”
- July 28-30: The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio, with the Verizon IndyCar Series — “Also included in the weekend is the entire Mazda Road to Indy, which includes Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires, Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires and Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda.”
- August 11-12: Mid-Ohio Challenge, with the NASCAR XFINITY Series — “The stars and cars of the NASCAR XFINITY Series take over Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for its fifth annual visit to the historic track. “

In addition to its four signature spectator weekends, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course offers racing of all kinds throughout the year, welcoming a staggering number of amateur racing series to the track. Many of the Weekend Club Events are open to the public for $10 at the gate and are free to Mid-Ohio VIP Season Pass holders.
Among the Weekend Club Events are a variety of Ohio Valley Region Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) competitions, F1600-F2000 races, Northern Ohio and Buckeye BMW, World Racing League, USAudi and CARFEST gatherings, among others.
