Two updates from the folks at Avita Health System:
Reduced Cost Blood Screenings
During April, Reduced Cost Blood Screenings will be available at Avita Hospital and the Bellville Walk-In Clinic. To participate, individuals must purchase a voucher from the Cashier’s Office at either of these locations from April 3-30. Vouchers cost $15-$30 and can be redeemed for specific blood screenings, including General Panel, PSA, HgbA1c, TSH, and Vitamin D, 25. Testing preparation requirements must be met, but vouchers can be purchased and redeemed on the same day.
Cashier’s Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Hospital Lab hours are Monday-Friday from 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday from 7:00 AM – Noon, and closed on Sunday. The Bellville Walk-In Clinic is open daily from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
Note that lab reports will not be sent to your physician/provider. It is your responsibility to share your results with them. Vouchers cannot be purchased or redeemed at the Ontario Walk-In Clinic.
Avita Health Fair
Avita Health Fair will take place on May 6 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Richland Mall. Attendees have the opportunity to win a Fit Bit Sense 2, ASUS touchscreen laptop, or a $100 Visa gift card. From 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Reduced Cost Blood Screenings will be available for the General Panel, TSH, PSA, Hemoglobin A1C, and Vitamin D, 25. The General Panel includes a lipid panel, CBC, glucose, BUN and creatinine, sodium, potassium, calcium, and ALT and GGT.
In addition, there will be a Kid’s Zone featuring an inflatable obstacle course, bounce house, face painting, and crafts. Visitors can also learn about Avita’s various services such as Education, Emergency, Forensics, Hospice, Inpatient Rehabilitation, OB/GYN, Oncology, Pharmacy, Therapy, Volunteering, Women’s Health, WorkWell, and more. Free food will also be available.
