As the frosty season approaches, Snow Trails, a cherished local ski and snowboard destination, is all set to welcome enthusiasts with a range of new offerings and enhancements. The resort, situated at 3100 Possum Run Rd., is rolling out significant upgrades ahead of the much-anticipated ski season.

Illuminating the Slopes With LED Lights and Parking Expansions

Visitors to Snow Trails this winter will be greeted by expanded parking facilities, including a new concrete lot with marked spaces, primarily located in the West parking lot area. In a move towards increased safety and energy efficiency, the resort has also installed new LED lights across various sections of the slopes and parking lots. These improvements are part of Snow Trails’ continuous efforts to enhance guest experience and safety.

Trailblazing Additions: ‘Ridgeline’ and ‘DC Drop’

The highlight of this season’s upgrades are two new trails named “Ridgeline” and “DC Drop.” The ‘Ridgeline’ trail provides a new route from Mt. Mansfield’s slope to the West, adding more variety for skiers and snowboarders. Meanwhile, ‘DC Drop’ offers an exciting descent, weaving through the trees of Alpine Glade and Double Cross Trails, and reconnecting with the Alpine Cross Trail.

Upgraded Snowmaking Capabilities

In preparation for a season of abundant snow, Snow Trails has invested in a new snowmaking pipeline extending from the bottom to the top of the West Woods Trail. Additionally, the resort has upgraded its snow gun fleet, ensuring optimal snow coverage and maintaining excellent conditions throughout the season. These improvements underscore Snow Trails’ commitment to providing the best possible skiing and snowboarding experience.

Seasonal Expectations: Anticipating the First Snowfall

Snow Trails is known for kicking off its snowmaking campaign around Thanksgiving weekend, setting the stage for a ski season that typically extends from late December to mid-March. With these enhancements, the resort is poised to offer an even more memorable winter sports experience for its guests.
