Special to 1812Blockhouse

Downtown Mansfield, Inc. has announced that starting April 2, the downtown shop hops are back and with a new opportunity.

It has been a few months since they have taken a pause on Shop Hop and they have used that time to develop some new programing at DMI focused on driving new activity downtown and helping the downtown bounce back bigger.

During Shop Hop, stop by great spots like Richland Carrousel Park, Phoenix Brewery, Martinis, and many others and enjoy a great night downtown. Most businesses are open till 8pm or later, so shop, dine, and explore.

In 2020, DMI unveiled their Pop-Up Shops during Shop Hop as an added bonus to support both the local entrepreneurial ecosystem as well as to add to the downtown activities. They were a huge hit and they will be back starting April 2, from 5-8 during Shop Hop hours. Stop by 128 North Main Street and meet a new group of budding entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses in Richland County. For our April First Friday Pop-Up Shop they are excited to bring you Calla Lily Yarn Works, Lola & Lily’s Pastry Shop, Life Is Art, 3rd Life Upcycling, Shearer Creations, Winne James Boutique, Twisted Fig Tea and Tea Doctors. DMI will host pop up shops each First Friday through November. The event is FREE for people to come shop.

That will not be the only event DMI is hosting that night. On Friday April 2, will also launch our new series of Downtown Open Houses. Each month during Shop Hop DMI will partner with the owner of an available space and host an open house! This month, DMI will be opening up the space at 102 N. Main Street, formerly the well-loved Main Street Books, and welcoming the public to come take a look and imaging what could be next for this space. Whether you have an idea in mind, want to pick our brains about an opportunity or are just curious, join DMI at 102 North Main Street from 5-8pm. They would love to help you make your next dream come to life!

This pop-up shop is part of DMI’s ongoing mission to support and grow entrepreneurship in downtown Mansfield. For thirty years, DMI’s mission has been to stimulate economic development, improve the appearance and create a positive image of the downtown as a desirable place to work, live, visit, shop and invest.
