A graduate of Mansfield Senior High School is a key part of the Marietta Pioneers football squad this season, and this past Saturday, helped the team in a lopsided 66-23 victory over Wilmington College.

Jakkar Bishop, a sophomore at Marietta, set the tone for the win with an opening, 33 yard kickoff return giving the Pioneers excellent field position.

So far this season, he has had four returns totaling 91 yards.

Normally a Defensive Back, Bishop had five solo tackles and two assists on Saturday, bringing his six game season total to 25 solos, 15 assists, and 3 sacks.

Marietta has had some difficulties this year, currently holding a 2-4 record. Their other win was over Baldwin Wallace. Games remain against Heidelberg, Ohio Northern, Capital, and Otterbein.
