One of country music’s most popular touring bands, Sawyer Brown, will perform a concert at the Renaissance Theatre on January 6 at 8 PM. The concert is presented as a part of the Avita Health System Concert Series. Local country band, The DeVault Ridge Band, will open the show.

With more than 50 chart-topping hits, including “Some Girls Do,” “The Race Is On,” “Six Days on the Road” and “The Walk,” Sawyer Brown has enjoyed a career of chart-topping success. The band is known for their aggressive tour schedule, having performed over 4,500 shows, released twenty-three albums with more than fifty chart singles. Sawyer Brown has been celebrated with CMA, ACM, and CMT awards, earning them a loyal fan base.

When asked about what keeps him motivated on the road, lead singer Mark Miller says, “It’s playing the next show. Be grateful for where you’ve been and be excited about where you’re going.”

Having been described as “the Rolling Stones of Country Music,” Sawyer Brown bounds onto the stage night after night, delivering its own unique brand of high-energy entertainment, and the band remains a perennial favorite. That excitement has been on display since the very first time Sawyer Brown stepped foot onstage in the early 1980s.

Beginning as the road band for another singer, Sawyer Brown broke out on their own playing everything from clubs to pig roasts in those earliest days. “There’s no such thing as a gig we wouldn’t take,” Miller laughs, remembering the beginning of the ride. “We knew that we wanted to play music and we knew that we wanted to work at being the best live band there was—and the only way to do that, was to get out and play shows. And so we did.”

Tickets are on sale now starting at $15.00 and ranging to $38.00 at the Renaissance Box Office, via phone at (419) 522-2726, and online at MansfieldTickets.com. The concert is presented by Newman Technology with additional sponsorship by Therm-O-Disc.
