Special to 1812Blockhouse

Connect at Kingwood for the Raising Richland Community Garden Summit this Thursday, March 24, from 5-8 PM.

The summit is free and will include areas of interest for both children and adults with a theme this year of Herb Gardening.

Children will have Displays & Snacks and a Cultivating Kids session. Adults will enjoy garden exhibits & vendors, two herb gardening speaker sessions, refreshments, and door prize drawings.

Raising Richland Community Garden Summit is organized by North End Community Improvement Collaborative, The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, Richland Soil & Water, Mansfield Richland County Public Library, Richland Public Health, Richland County Master Gardeners, and Kingwood Center Gardens.

While at Kingwood, remember that “Making Scents: The Art and Passion of Fragrance” continue through the end of April. Making Scents explores the artistry, history and science of fragrance utilizing STEAM teaching methods using hands-on demonstrations and engaging interpretation. For more information, our story on the exhibit can be accessed below.
