Richland County residents will pitch their ideas for new products, businesses, and services during the Richland Idea Audition on September 17 in Founders Hall at Ohio State University-Mansfield. The five contestants who make it to the final round will pitch their ideas to an audience and a panel of judges.

The public is encouraged to attend starting with a reception to meet the entrepreneurs at 5:30 PM and the final round of presentations begins at 6:30 PM. The focus of the contest is to support new business, help entrepreneurs get a business off the ground and introduce entrepreneurs to the community for support.

Entrepreneurs will have four minutes to explain their ideas for a chance to win a top prize of $5,000. The second place idea will receive $2,500 and third place, $1,000.

Registration to attend is not necessary – just arrive and enjoy the excitement!

Organizations collaborating on Richland Gives include: Richland County Foundation, Richland Area Chamber of Commerce, Ohio State University at Mansfield, North Central State College, Downtown Mansfield Inc., Small Business Development Center, North End Community Improvement Collaborative, SCORE of North Central Ohio, Shelby Community Improvement Collaborative and Idea Works.
