Special to 1812Blockhouse

The Renaissance Theatre will show two classic Halloween films in October as part of the Lind Siegenthaler Cinema Series with additional sponsorship by Techman Sales, Inc. Hocus Pocus will be screened on October 24 at 8:00 PM and The Rocky Horror Picture Show will be on October 31 at 8:00 PM. Both films will be presented inside the theatre and simultaneously outside in the Ren Backlot.

Hocus Pocus is back to the Renaissance by popular demand. Featuring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, this iconic hit of the ‘90s is set in Salem, Massachusetts and follows three witches set on revenge on Halloween night.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is perhaps the oddest, most off-the-wall cult film ever made. A young couple stumbles into a castle inhabited by weirdos from the planet Transylvania and meet Dr. Frank N. Furter (Tim Curry) a transvestite Frankenstein in rhinestone heels. A marvelous musical spoof that urges, “Give yourself over to absolute pleasure.”

Tickets for Hocus Pocus are $8 per person for seats inside the theatre and $15 per vehicle for a Drive-in spot. Tickets for The Rocky Horror Picture Show are $13 per person for seats inside the theatre and $15 per vehicle for a Drive-in spot. Tickets for both films can be purchased online at RenTickets.org, or by contacting the Renaissance Box Office via phone at (419) 522-2726. The Box Office is currently open by appointment only.

The Renaissance has a complete health and safety plan in place for both indoor and outdoor events. To view the plan, go to RenTicket.org/our-commitment-to-you.
