ODOT District Three has released its weekly report highlighting road construction projects which are beginning or underway in the multi-county area it serves.

What follows are posted projects taking place within Ashland, Crawford, and Richland Counties. Please stay safe and pay attention to these closures and work taking place during the week beginning on September 27.

ASHLAND COUNTY

State Route 3 resurfacing project – State Route 3, from the Holmes County line to the city of Wooster, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Estimated completion: September


State Route 3 resurfacing project – State Route 3, from the Knox County line to state Route 39, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Crews will start replacing curb ramps in the village of Loudonville. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Estimated completion: October


U.S. Route 30 pavement repairs – U.S. 30 westbound, before the state Route 60 interchange, will have lane closures for pavement repairs. Crews will begin work in the westbound, fast lane to build temporary pavement along the shoulder. Once the temporary pavement is installed, the lane closure will be shifted into the right lane (outside lane) to begin project work. Traffic will be divided by concrete barriers. Estimated completion: October


State Route 39 resurfacing project – State Route 39, from the Richland County line to the village of Loudonville, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Estimated completion: October


U.S. Route 42 bridge replacement – U.S. 42, between Cleveland Avenue and Township Road 793, will have single lane closures for a bridge replacement project. Estimated completion: October


State Route 60 resurfacing project – State Route 60, from U.S. 30 to County Road 775, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers during working hours. Estimated completion: October


State Route 60 resurfacing project – State Route 60, from the village of Loudonville to Route 95, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Estimated completion: October


State Route 89 resurfacing project– State Route 89, from the village of Polk to Route 58, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Estimated completion: October


State Route 179 resurfacing project – State Route 179, from the village of Hayesville to the Holmes County line, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers during working hours. Estimated completion: October


U.S. Route 250 minor reconstruction – U.S. 250, from the Huron County line to the southern corporation limits of Baily Lakes, will have single lane closures for a minor reconstruction project. The project includes milling, pavement repairs, paving with asphalt, replacing pavement markings, guardrail repairs, and some bridge repairs along U.S. 250. Estimated completion: October


U.S. Route 250 resurfacing project – U.S. 250, between Westlake Drive and U.S. 42, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. The project will also extend along the state Route 58 ramp to Eastlake Drive. Crews have begun milling and will complete pavement repairs, paving, guardrail repairs, and some bridge repairs. Estimated completion: November

CRAWFORD COUNTY

 

State Route 19 resurfacing project – State Route 19 in the city of Galion, from the Morrow County line to the west corporation limits of Galion, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Estimated completion: November


U.S. Route 30 embankment repairs — U.S. 30, between Lincoln Highway and state Route 61, will have single lane closures for various embankment repairs. The berm along the shoulder will be reconstructed along with rebuilding guardrail and other related work. Estimated completion: October

RICHLAND COUNTY

 

U.S Route 30 major rehabilitation – U.S. 30, from state Route 309 to just east of the 5th Avenue ramps, will have single lane closures for a major rehabilitation project. Traffic will always be maintained.

CONTINUING IMPACTS

  • Work continues in the area of the Route 39 northbound ramp to U.S. 30 eastbound and Longview Avenue relocation just east of Route 39. Traffic will be maintained on the ramp.
  • Traffic on state Route 545 is shifted on the west side while work continues on the east side of the roadway. Traffic will be maintained with a signalized closure on Route 545, under U.S. 30.
  • U.S. 30 eastbound and westbound, from Trimble Road to Route 13, will have nightly, single lane closures from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. to complete temporary pavement on the shoulders.
  • U.S. 30 eastbound daytime lane closure between Route 545 and 5th Avenue to work on rock cut area.
  • U.S. 30 structure work – U.S. 30 eastbound traffic lanes have been shifted over Bowman Street so that crews can complete structure work. Two 11’ lanes will be maintained on U.S. 30 eastbound.
  • Crews continue work on the Bowman Street structure work under U.S. 30. Traffic on Bowman Street will be maintained by flaggers.

Estimated completion: May 2023


State Route 39 pavement repairs – State Route 39, from Country Club Drive to Taylortown Road, will have single lane closures as needed for corrective pavement repairs. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Estimated completion: Later this month


I-71 northbound and southbound, from the Morrow county line to state Route 97, will have single lane, daytime closures and double lane, nighttime closures for a resurfacing project. Crews continue night work on I-71 from the Morrow/Richland county line to the state Route 13 exit. Work will progress in both zones simultaneously. Estimated completion: October


State Route 309 minor rehabilitation – State Route 309, from state Route 314 to Home Road, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be shifted over into 10’ lanes and will be divided by portable barrier wall in each direction. Estimated completion: October


State Route 430 bridge repairs – State Route 430 in the city of Mansfield, between W. Park Boulevard and Morningside Drive, will have one lane of traffic maintained in each direction for a bridge repair project. Estimated completion: October
