Travel Writers Tour Unique Attractions

Eight travel writers from around the country will visit Mansfield and Richland County on September 8-9 for an exciting press trip. The CVB created a unique experience highlighting the regions off-the-wall horror and film destinations. Writers will visit fascinating local attractions such as award-winning special-effects and make up mastermind Robert Kurtzman’s “Creature Corp” studio and the Haunted Bussman building. The Haunted & Hollywood tour will also visit the following destinations: The Ohio State reformatory, Mansfield Memorial Museum, Richland Carrousel Park , Malabar Farm State Park & Malabar Farm Restaurant, Laxton Hollow Brewing Works, The Blueberry Patch & The Wishmaker House Bed & Breakfast The CVB staff are hopeful the trip will showcase the unorthodox experiences in and around Mansfield. African Violet Show Heading to Kingwood Center

A beautiful locale will be made more so on September 16 and 17, as the Ohio State African Violet Show makes it home at the Kingwood Center Gardens. Housed in the Carriage House, plants will be available for purchase and a variety of unique designs will be on display. Educational workshops will also be featured, while several commercial growers will offer plants and related items for sale. Members of the OSAVS will be on hand to answer any questions. More…
