We continue our look at day road trips from Richland County that feature unique events and attractions. As always, this comes with a reminder that some of the best in Ohio are right here at home; a good place to check for these is at Destination Mansfield.

The 7th Annual Columbus Food Truck Festival takes place at a new location: on the Scioto Mile Bicentennial Park on Friday, August 18 and Saturday, August 19 from 11 AM to 11:PM.

Admission is free for all ages.

The largest food truck festival in the Midwest will take over Bicentennial Park Scioto Mile and the Rich Street Bridge. This two-day event features 50 to 60 of the best food trucks from Ohio and surrounding areas.

The festival will feature live music on the Bicentennial Park Stage and a Second Stage located on Washington street on the West side of the river, as well as family fun for all ages.

If you’re looking for a great way to spend an afternoon, a food lover eager to taste a delicious mix of the best food trucks, trailers, and carts in Ohio, or a music fan looking to experience the best sounds of central Ohio including national recording artists, than the Columbus Food Truck festival is just for you.

The mission of the festival is to facilitate food tourism and create more vibrancy for our great city. “We are very excited about the new location move and look forward to bringing the ultimate foodie experience to the Scioto Mile and Bicentennial Park,” said event organizers Mike Challicchio and Chas Kaplan.
