Later this month, an annual event will continue to foster community spirit, drive local business growth, and offer a platform for meaningful connections. The 17th Annual Business Expo, set for Thursday, March 21, promises a day filled with innovation, networking, and celebration at the Richland County Fairgrounds.

With over 100 local businesses and non-profit organizations gearing up to showcase their offerings, this event, presented by Richland Area Chamber and Economic Development, is not just an expo; it’s a vibrant community gathering.

From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, attendees are invited to explore the large number of booths, each with opportunities to interact with local businesses, discover new products, and learn about services that can enhance their daily lives. The event is open to the public, ensuring that everyone can partake in this enriching experience. Admission and parking are entirely free, making it an accessible event for all community members.

As part of the expo, visitors can expect an array of prizes, samples, and giveaways, adding an extra layer of excitement to their journey through the booths. The Chamber will also host prize drawings throughout the day, promising surprises that will delight attendees.

This year’s expo encourages participants to dive into the eclipse theme, with awards such as Most Creative Booth, Best Use of Theme, and the People’s Choice up for grabs. This thematic engagement not only adds a fun twist to the exhibits but also sparks creativity among participants, enhancing the overall ambiance of the event.

The expo will kick off with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45 AM, featuring local officials and the Richland County Sheriff’s Color Guard. This ceremonious start underscores the community’s support and enthusiasm for local businesses and non-profit organizations.

The excitement begins even before the main event, with the Expo Eve Business After Hours scheduled for March 20 at 4:00 PM. This precursor to the expo provides an exclusive networking opportunity, allowing businesses and attendees to forge connections in a relaxed setting.

In a gesture of community service and solidarity, attendees are encouraged to bring a canned good item. This act of kindness not only supports those in need but also enters participants into a draw to win an oil change, courtesy of Graham Automall, blending community support with practical rewards.

The 17th Annual Business Expo is more than an event; it’s a testament to the vibrant spirit of Richland County’s business community and its unwavering commitment to growth, innovation, and collaboration. Presented by Hamilton Insurance, this expo stands as a beacon of opportunity, inviting one and all to discover the best of what local businesses have to offer.
