In documents filed on Wednesday with the State of Ohio Office of Workforce Development, Kindred Hospital Central Ohio has announced closure of its Mansfield operation.

In its filing, Kindred Healthcare said the following:

This is to notify you that SCCI Hospital -Mansfield, Inc. d/b/a Kindred Hospital Central Ohio, located at 335 Glessner Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio 44903, has made the difficult decision to close its entire Hospital. As a result of the Hospital closure, all positions at the Hospital will be eliminated. Employee separations in connection with the transaction are expected to commence during the 14-day period starting on September 30, 2017. This action is expected to be permanent.

Closure will result in the loss of some 111 jobs, including 27 Registered Nurses and 15 Respiratory Therapists.

Currently, Kindred is housed at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.
