The timeless children’s story, Pinocchio, is coming to Kingwood Center Gardens next week.

The Hamspstead Stage Company, a national professional touring company based on Center Barnstead, New Hampshire, will present the play on Wednesday, August 2 at 6:00 PM; a special children’s craft time will precede the play at 5:00 PM.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own chair or blanket to watch this timeless tale of an Italian woodcarver, Gepetto, who carves a son out of a block of wood. The story is one that entertains young and old with Pinocchio’s many mischievous adventures which lead him to ultimately understand what it really means to be human.

Each year,  the Hampstead Stage Company performs over 2,000 shows across the nation in various venues including theatres, schools, libraries, and more. The Company’s interactive educational tours run year-round and are performed by professional actors playing multiple roles.

The Company was founded over 31 years ago and is dedicated to providing high quality theatre to under-served communities.

Tickets are $4 per person, and may be purchased here. Children under 3 are free. For more information, call 419.522.0211. Please note that the general admission price of $5 per vehicle for access to Kingwood still applies.
