On Thursday night, Mansfield Senior’s Jornell Manns made it official.

Manns has committed to pursue the next step in his football career in the Big Ten, and specifically at the University of Minnesota. The 5’11”, 185 lbs. wide receiver and cornerback had also made an unofficial visit to OSU.

Schools that made offers to Manns include Wisconsin, Penn State, West Virginia, Kentucky, and others.

He made the verbal commitment announcement via a Twitter post, which was quickly followed by a posting of photos on the Mansfield Senior Tygers Football Facebook page. Both can be viewed below.

Manns also was a successful high jumper and 4/100 relay team runner for the Tygers.
