“CEOs You Should Know,” an iHeart Radio weekly podcast, has become a staple for those interested in the movers and shakers of local businesses and organizations. From school superintendents to public officials, the podcast offers a unique window into the lives and visions of community leaders.

Dr. Eric Anderman Of OSU Mansfield

In a recent episode, Dr. Eric Anderman, the Interim Dean and Director of OSU Mansfield, took the spotlight. Anderman delved into the history of the Mansfield Regional Campus, which opened its first building in 1966. However, the roots go deeper, with the first classes conducted at Mansfield Senior High School back in 1958.

Enrollment and Expansion: The Present Scenario

According to the podcast summary, Anderman revealed that enrollment numbers are on the rise this fall, a testament to the campus’s growing appeal. The Mansfield campus attracts students from all over Ohio and offers a gateway to over 200 majors that can be initiated locally. This flexibility is a significant draw for students seeking a comprehensive educational experience without leaving their community.

A Journey from NYC to OSU

Anderman’s own journey is as intriguing as the campus he now oversees. Born and raised in New York City and its suburbs, he completed his PhD in Educational Psychology at the University of Michigan. Before joining The Ohio State University in 2007, he served as faculty at the University of Kentucky from 1994 to 2007. His diverse experience in both teaching and administration has been instrumental in shaping his vision for OSU Mansfield.

The Future is Bright: Anderman’s Vision

When recently asked about the future, Anderman was optimistic, stating, “The future is very bright. I see so many opportunities for growth already, and each day I am learning more and more about the possibilities.” His forward-thinking approach aligns with several academic and community-based initiatives that are in the pipeline for the Mansfield campus.
