Keeping in mind that parents are their child’s first teacher, parents and guardians of Mansfield City Schools’ students in grades Kindergarten through Third are invited to the “How to Raise a Reader” Parent Workshop. We will have reading and family support specialists at the workshop showing adults how to build a love of books and reading in their children.

The workshop will be held at Springmill Learning Center this Thursday, March 30th from 9:30 to 11:30 AM.

There is no cost to the adults. Breakfast pastry will be available, and a complimentary full lunch will be served after the workshop.

There will also be a “make it and take it” segment and a free book will be available for each parent or guardian to take home.

April’s workshop will be on how to raise a mathematician. May’s workshop will be on how to prevent “Summer Slide.” All three workshops have been made possible by Mansfield City Schools’ Staff, Family Life Center and The Richland County Foundation.
