The Richland Academy of the Arts‘ 7th Annual Performance of the Nutcracker Ballet, presented by The Village Network, will be performed in early December at the Shelby High School Performing Arts Center.

The Nutcracker is perhaps best known for its score by Russian composer Pytor Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The two act ballet has become a staple of the Christmas season across North America.

The ballet was first performed in 1892 in Saint Petersburg.
