On February 14, 2017 the METRICH Enforcement Unit assisted by the Mansfield Division of Police executed a search warrant at 151 Ohio St. in the City of Mansfield. The search warrant was signed by the Honorable Judge Ardis. The search warrant was a result of numerous complaints in reference to drug trafficking.

During the search, METRICH detectives seized suspected heroin and an assortment of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments. METRICH detectives arrested and charged Tabatha L. Simmonds and Justin M. Simmonds with several counts each of Trafficking in Drugs. Both were incarcerated at the Richland County Jail where they await their court appearances.

Additional charges may be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

METRICH Commander Lt. Joseph Petrycki stated the METRICH Enforcement Unit will continue to target those individuals that traffic drugs in the community and would like to thank those individuals who called in the numerous tips and complaints regarding 151 Ohio St. which assisted detectives in this investigation.
