The book has now been longlisted for an important recognition given to important works in the biography genre.
The Plutarch Award is given to the best biography of the year as determined by a committee of distinguished biographers, chosen from a list of nominations by members of the Biographers International Organization (BIO) and book publishers.
The 10 longlisted books for the current award profile the lives of Lincoln, Jimmy Carter, Emily Dickinson, and others.
The Plutarch Award will be given at the 11th BIO Conference on May 16, which is being held virtually this year.
