On the evening of the Community Christmas Tree lighting several days ago, dozens of people were walking around Richland Carrousel Park and adjacent streets. For those who were lucky enough to walk by Element of Art, located in their unique space at the corner of West Fourth and North Main, invitations were extended to enter that space for performance art taking place.

Throughout the year, Element of Art Studio and Gallery does just that – invites people in to experience art in a variety of ways. This week, it was the focus for a “Member Spotlight” by the Mansfield/Richland County Convention & Visitors Bureau.

As the spotlight shares, “Element of Art Studio/Gallery is a non-profit art gallery affiliated with Richland Newhope Industries, Inc. EOA Studio, reaches out to artists with developmental disabilities to encourage self-expression. The space also provides a studio environment for artists. What a great place to find local gifts throughout the year.”

The page on the site continues, “Because the space doubles as a studio, the public has the opportunity to interact with the artists as they create unique artwork (including but not limited to painting, photography and ceramics) most weekday afternoons 10AM – 2PM.”

The Member Spotlight can be accessed here.
