The Richland County Farm Bureau and the Hazelbrush Farm Bureau Community Council are continuing to host Farm to Plate demonstrations at the Shelby Farmers Market through remainder of the summer.

The Shelby Farmers Market is located at the Black Fork Commons, at 12 W. Main St., Shelby.

The next Farm to Plate takes place on July 20 featuring Ben Lash from The Vault in downtown Shelby. Additional demonstrations will take place on:

  • July 27: Theresa Bowerstock, Baked to a T
  • August 17: Rasul Welsh
  • August 24: Michael Morton, Ontario Event Center

The Farm to Plate demonstrations promote consumers purchasing locally sourced produce. Local chefs prepare a variety of meals, share cooking tips, and menu ideas to maximize the use of seasonal, local ingredients.

The program is free and open to the public. All demonstrations begin at 10 AM.
