With the steady rise in temperatures, produce is appearing in larger quantities on store shelves.

The time is approaching when locally grown goods will be available for purchase directly from producers.

The NECIC North End Farmers Market will return on June 3 from 4 PM through 7 PM, and will be taking place every Thursday, rain or shine. The Market will be located at the NECIC Urban Farm at 311 Bowman Street, adjacent to the nearby railroad crossing.

The program will end on Thursday, September 30.

As a great incentive, there will be a doubling of Ohio Direction Card purchases up to $20 each week.

For more information, contact Teaching Garden Coordinator Mona Knuess at 419.522.1611 extension 116. Additional details will also be available on the North End Farmers Market Facebook page.
