The Mansfield Symphony Chorus (MSC) is welcoming virtual auditions for its 2020-2021 season.

Any member of the community is invited to audition. Under the direction of Chorus Master Lori Turner, MSC will perform three concerts this season: SingOut! A Choral Celebration, Holiday Pops, and Carmina Burana (the latter two in collaboration with the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra).

Lori Turner

Turner’s award-winning career as both a chorale member and soloist spans nearly 30 years. She has performed at world-renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Paris Opera; she also sang for 10 years with the Royal Flemish Opera in Belgium. Now back in the US, Turner’s passion and experience allow her to expose local performers and community youth to the world of choral music.

The MSC is currently celebrating its 43rd year of bringing choral performances to the Mansfield area. Historically, it has presented masterpieces such as Handel’s Messiah and Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms, among many others. Rehearsals are held weekly on Sunday evenings at Theatre 166 (166 Park Avenue West).

Those interested in auditioning virtually for MSC should contact Lori Turner by email at [email protected] to schedule and learn about the health and safety protocols being followed for rehearsals and performances alike.
