The folks in Greensboro, North Carolina have been waiting a good long time for their new carousel.

The numbers are impressive for the Greensboro Rotary Carousel: $3.8 raised over 14 years from 300 donors, and 56 sculpted animals from Carousel Works in Mansfield.

We covered the project last spring in this post.

According to Fox8 in Greensboro, the new attraction officially became a part of the Greensboro Science Center this week. That story includes video with shots of the new carousel in action, and can be read and viewed here. Additional stories, photos, and material on the project can be seen here on the official website.
