Michael Brennan has been assigned as interim principal at the Spanish Immersion School to succeed Gabe Costa, who resigned unexpectedly late last week.

Brennan had served as principal at Sherman Elementary School since August 2017. He came to Mansfield City Schools from the K-8 St. Julie School in Lyndurst, Ohio, where he was assistant principal and director of special education.

At Sherman, assistant principal Amy Bradley will move into the role of interim principal. A former elementary classroom teacher, her entire 20-year career has been in Mansfield City Schools.

Costa, a former third-grade teacher at Spanish Immersion, was named principal in July 2015.

Superintendent Stan Jefferson said there will be no interruption in the daily learning of students.

“Mr. Brennan and Mrs. Bradley are highly capable and dedicated administrators. They will provide strong leadership in their respective interim roles,” Jefferson said.
